Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission and police protection to conduct Kabbadi Tournament from 17.02.2017 to 18.02.2017 (day and night) at Sri Ragunathapuram Public Play Ground, Sri Regunathapuram Village, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.01.2017.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Kabbadi Tournament from 17.02.2017 to 18.02.2017 in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 25.01.2017 a representation has been given by the petitioner and the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Panakudi Police Station is directed to look into the representation dated 25.01.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
