O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to sanction loan amount of a sum of Rs.1,00,000 /-, which comprises of a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- being Tamilnadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation Limited - Entrepreneur Development Programme (EDP) Scheme 2017-2018 to the petitioner for establishment of Xerox shop in the light of proposal forwarded by the 1st respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.TAHDCO-2017-18-EDP-PK-11 dated 20.09.2017 and by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 09.11.2017

2. Mr.M.Alagathevan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for R1. Notice to R2 is dispensed with, as no adverse order is going to be passed in this petition against R2. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The case of the petitioner is that he applied for a loan through online in TAHDCO 2017-2018 Entrepreneur Development Programme Scheme as per G.O.42 dated 29.08.2016 and also attended the direct interview with all necessary documents as required by the 1st respondent. Though the 1st respondent forwarded the proceedings dated 20.09.2017 to the 2nd respondent for sanction of the loan, thereafter, there was no progress on the matter. Therefore, he sent a representation dated 09.11.2017 to the 2nd respondent for disbursement of the loan amount and since there was no response on the representation, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the 2nd respondent has to take a final decision on the basis of the proposal sent by the 1st respondent.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 09.11.2017 and pass necessary orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, in the light of the proposal of the 1st respondent dated 20.09.2017.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
