O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of the appeal in Na.Ka.No.4916 of 2012 pending on the file of the respondent.
2. Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that one Amutha filed an appeal before the respondent for rectification of wrong entries made in the Field Measurement Book and when the Village Administrative Officer along with Surveyor inspected the property, the petitioners found out some differences and discrepancies, pursuant to which, they filed an application for impleading themselves as parties to the appeal. It is the grievance of the petitioners that on account of misplacement of records by the Officials, the petitioners could not be able to identify their lands without correct measurement due to wrong entries in the Field Measurement Book. It is also submitted that the appeal is pending for more than six years without any progress and therefore, the petitioners are before this Court with the above prayer. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that if a reasonable time is granted to the respondent, the appeal will be disposed of.
5. In view of the above submission, this Court directs the respondent to dispose of the appeal in Na.Ka.No.4916 of 2012, if not already disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and other interested parties, if any.
