O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner for carrying out his agricultural work on his land comprised in S.No.274/5 at K.Pettai Village in Kulithalai Taluk at Karur District, by considering his representation, dated 23.06.2022 within a period that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Nos. 1 and 2 and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is represented by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) that, in respect of providing Police protection to the petitioner and 2/4

his land, there is no complaint and no enquiry is pending before the second respondent Police.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), no further order is required to be passed in this petition.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to workout his remedy in the manner known to law.
