PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to disburse the Prime Minister Insurance Scheme amount to the petitioner's lands situated in S.Nos.468/2A1, 468/2A2, 469/10A and 469/11A Situated at E.Malampatty Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District respectively, having extent of 0.20.5,0.15.0,0.220,and 0.09.0 totally 0.66.5 Hectare measuring to an total extent of 1 acre and 65 cents, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2019.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to disburse the amount to the damaged crops for the petitioner's lands in S.Nos.468/2A1, 468/2A2, 469/10A and 469/11A Situated at E.Malampatty Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District respectively,having extent 0.20.5, 0.15.0,0.22.0, and 0.09.0totally 0.66.5 Hectare measuring to an total extent of 1 acre and 65 cents, under the Prime Minister Insurance Scheme.

2.According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 19.06.2019 to the respondents with the relief sought for in the prayer. But, on such representation, no action has been taken by the respondents till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.In reply, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2019 would be considered on merits and in accordance with law, if he is otherwise eligible, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.In the light of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
