Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to revise the rate of interest at the rate of 9 % per annum in terms of G.O.Ms.No.33, Transport (RW1) Department, dated 04.03.2016 and in the light of the judgement of this Court reported in 2017(2) CWC 318, dated 22.03.2017 and consequently to direct the respondents to sanction and settle the difference of interest of Rs.49,000/- on the arrears of pension of Rs.2,21,059/-.

ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that a sum of Rs.2,19,700/-(Rupees Two Lakhs Nineteen Thousand and Seven Hundred only) and a sum of Rs.1,61,537/-(Rupees One Lakh, Sixty One Thousand, Five Hundred and Thirty Seven Only) towards pension arrears and interest respectively had already been settled to the petitioner and hence, nothing survives for adjudication herein.

2. Recording the said submission made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
