The petitioner, seeking police protection, has moved this writ petition.

2. It appears that the petitioner is a tenant of the 3rd respondent and she is having an issue with regard to the tenancy. The petitioner claims that she has already filed a suit before the Waqf Tribunal, Chennai and also obtained an interim order. Despite the interim order granted by the Waqf Tribunal, the 3rd respondent has attempted to evict the petitioner forcibly. Therefore, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the respondent Police and also filed this writ petition seeking police protection.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that it is a dispute between the tenant and landlord and it is purely civil in nature. Therefore, they have not interfered with the same and they cannot provide police protection. He further submits that the petitioner's complaint was enquired and the same was closed advising the petitioner to workout her remedy before the Waqf Tribunal. 3/5
4. Since the petitioner has already filed a suit before the Waqf Tribunal, Chennai, this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to workout her remedy before the Waqf Tribunal, Chennai. No costs.
