Heard both sides.

2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. No counter is filed on behalf of the respondent.

4. According to the petitioner, his representation dated 28.01.2014 addressed to the respondent praying for demarcation of his property for effecting sub-division and issuance of patta is pending till today, without any disposal. Hence, he has filed the present writ petition.

5. At this stage, the Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent brings it to the notice of this Court that the petitioner paid only requisite charges in regard to the sub-division aspect. However, he has not remitted the requisite charges for granting patta. Therefore, it is represented on behalf of the respondent that if the petitioner pays the requisite charges for the grant of patta, then, the respondent, within a reasonable time, determined by this Court, will consider the petitioner's application/representation dated 28.01.2014.

6. In view of the fact that the petitioner's petition dated 28.01.2014 is pending before the respondent, this Court, without going

into the merits of the matter, at this stage, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.01.2014 and to dispose of the same on merits by passing a reasoned, speaking order, (Ofcourse after providing necessary opportunity to the petitioner and others concerned, by following the principles of Natural Justice), within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to pay the requisite charges in connection with the issuance of patta, within a period of one week from today.

7. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
