2. Mr.M.Alagathevan, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.

Alleging that the respondents 2 & 3, being the First Appellate Authority and Public Information Officer, respectively, failed to provide the information sought by the petitioner, under the RTI Act, he has submitted an appeal petition dated 29.06.2017, followed by a representation dated 19.08.2017, before the first respondent, State Information Commissioner, for necessary action and as the same is kept pending, without any action, the petitioner is before this Court, seeking a direction to dispose of his appeal petition, within a stipulated time limit.

4. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal petition of the petitioner dated 29.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the other interested parties, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
