PRAYER :- For Bail in Cr.No.288 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- This petition has been filed by the petitioner/A1 seeking bail for the alleged offence under Section 8(c) r/w Section 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 and 29(1) of NDPS Act, in Crime No.288 of 2019 on the file of the respondent Police.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent Police submitted that the commercial quantity i.e., 21 Kgs of Ganja is involved in the criminal case and that the petitioner is having two previous cases, out of which, one is similar in nature.

3.In view of the fact that the petitioner is a habitual offender and releasing him at this juncture would cause prejudice to the interest of the trial at large, this petition for bail stands dismissed. CRL OP(MD). No.12616 of 2020 the investigation has been completed and charge sheet is filed. Hence, the trial Court is directed to proceed with trial and dispose of the case preferably within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
