ORDER

The petitioners are figuring as accused in the impugned FIR. To quash the same, this criminal original petition has been filed. When the matter was listed for admission, the following direction was passed :

"2.This petition is filed solely on the ground that the petitioner is a permitted holder for transporting the savudu stand which was confirmed by the Tahsildar, Ilayangudi though his letter dated 25.06.2021 which was also annexed in the typed set of papers. This has been addressed to the Sub Inspector of Police, Elayangudi Police Station, Sivagangai District who is the first respondent herein.

2.The first respondent is directed to verify the genuineness of the document. If it is bound to be genuine, further proceedings may be dropped."

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, it is confirmed that the document produced by the petitioner is a genuine one. Therefore, in consonance with the earlier direction, the impugned FIR is quashed. This criminal original petition is allowed. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
