PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give appropriate Police protection for life an limb of the petitioner and her husband who are living at No.38A/1 Mela Shanmugapuram, 1st Street, Tuticorin.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give appropriate Police protection for life an limb of the petitioner and her husband who are living at No.38A/1 Mela Shanmugapuram, 1st Street, Tuticorin.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner fell in love with one Vasanth Kumar and their marriage was performed on 26.06.2021, without the knowledge of the both families, due to which, the petitioner's father continuously threatened the petitioner and her husband. Therefore, the petitioner has sent a representation on 05.08.2021 to the respondents seeking police protection.

Till date, the representation has not been considered. Hence, the present petition is filed. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner's mother, the case in Crime No.341 of 2021 has been registered on 03.08.2021. But, however, the representation made by the petitioner has been received only on 05.08.2021.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation dated 05.08.2021, submitted by the petitioner within 15 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. In the mean time, if any threat is made, the petitioner shall give a complaint before the concerned officials.

With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
