This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to re-assess the petitioner's mark in the Rope Climbing event held at Seethakathi Sethupathy Stadium, Ramanathapuram and further direct the 1st respondent to select and appoint the petitioner as Grade-II Police Constable.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.The case of the petitioner is that he had participated in the physical efficiency test before the second respondent on 13.10.2010 for the post of Grade II, Police Constable, in which, he reached the level of two star standard, but he has been given one star standard. The grievance of the petitioner is that if he has been given two star standard, he would have been selected for the said post. Seeking such relief, he made a representation dated 19.07.2017 to the respondents. Since the same has not been considered, this writ petition has been filed. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the present position of the petitioner's representation is not known to the petitioner and therefore, the representation submitted by him may be directed to be considered by the respondents. 5.In such view of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.07.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
