ORDER

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to implement the resolution of peace committee meeting dated 06.03.2016 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 10.07.2017 in respect of celebration of Sri Chinna Ayyan Kovil Maha Sivarathiri Festival in Keeranur Village, Madurai District.

2.Heard both sides.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents to implement the resolution passed in the peace committee meeting held on 06.03.2016, in respect of conducting the festival of the Temple in question. Since no action has been taken by the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court. 5.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits within the time stipulated by this Court.

6.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents 1 to 3, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
