PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, directing the respondents 1 , 2 and 3 to take immediate action on the basis of the complaint given on behalf of the petitioner on 25.10.2017 which had been issued with CSR number 260 of 2017 on the file of the third respondent police and the further representation given by the petitioner on 20.11.2017 and consequently provide adequate police protection to Nadar Mahajana Sangam Kamaraj Polytechnic College, Pazhavillai, Nagercoil and the Educational College established and administered by Nadar Mahajana Sangam Kamaraj Polytechnic College Paribalana Sabai including its premises, faculty members, students against the fourth respondent, his men or agent or any person claiming under him and pass such other order.

O R D E R

The petitioner filed this writ petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the first and second respondents to take immediate action on the basis of the complaint given on behalf of the petitioner on 25.10.2017 which had been issued with CSR No.260 of 2017 on the file of the third respondent police and further representation on 20.11.2017 and consequently, directing the respondent police provide adequate police protection to Nadar Mahajana Sangam Kamaraj Polytechnic College, Pazhavillai, Nagercoil Nagercoil and the Educational College established and adminstered by Nadar Mahajana Sangam Kamaraj Polytechnic College Paribalana Sabai.

2. The learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner would fairly submit that though a larger relief is sought for in this petition, it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondent police to consider the representation dated 20.11.2017 of the petitioner.

3. In view of the limited prayer sought by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, I am inclined to issue a direction to the respondent police to consider the representation dated 20.11.2017 of the petitioner and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the respective parties as well as whoever interested in the Educational Institutions, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, this Writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected M.P.(MD).No.18250 of 2017 is closed.
