ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to change his name entered in the revenue records pertains to survey No. 263/4 bearing Natham patta No. 4127, situated at Parambupatti Perungudi Panchayat, Thiruparankundram Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 26.03.2025 and 07.04.2025.
2. Heard the arguments of M/s.A.Banumathy learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. According to the petitioner, he has been residing in the subject property by constructing a house and the house also assessed in his name. However, the patta for the subject property was entered in the name of one Veeranan, S/o.Valli, instead of the petitioner's name (Chellandi, S/o.Valli). Therefore, he submitted a representation before the second respondent on 07.04.2025, seeking correction of the pattadhar name in patta No.4127 and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered after issuing notice to the interested parties within the time stipulated by this Court.
6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the entitlement of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner.
7. Hence, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 07.04.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits with in a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the above said Veeranan, S/o.Valli.
