Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct the temple festival on 24.02.2017 at Arulmigu Nallapitchayee, Arulmigu Nalla Veerappan Swamy are situated at No.38/2, Kalmadam Street, Natham, Dindigul District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 02.02.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.M.Sankar For Respondents : Mr.D.Muruganandam, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission and also police protection for conducting the festival in Arulmigu Nallapitchayee and Arulmigu Nalla Veerappan Swamy in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 02.02.2017 a representation has been given to the respondents, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, the following order can be passed.

Police Station, Dindigul District is directed to look into the representation dated 02.02.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
