O R D E R

This petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's loan application dated 11.3.2015 in the light of G.O.111, PIVA, VI PIVA(Ma) CIBA Welfare Department dated 31.12.2017.

2. Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, learned Government Advocate takes notice for R1. Notice to R2 is dispensed with, as no adverse order is going to be passed in this petition against R2. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he had submitted a loan application dated 11.03.2015 to the 2nd respondent for a loan to dig a high level water storage for the purpose of cultivation and though he is entitled to loan as per G.O.111 dated 31.12.2017, no loan facility has been so far extended to him. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking into account the limited scope of the relief

sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondents, more particularly the 2nd respondent, to consider the petitioner's loan application dated 11.03.2015 and pass suitable orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner in the light of G.O.111, PIVA, VI PIVA(Ma) CIBA Welfare Department dated 31.12.2017.

5. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
