PRAYER in W.P(MD) No.22022 of 2017: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to issue house site patta in the petitioner's name in respect of house property measuring 1425 sq.ft., situates in S.No.4/4 at Door No.

1/35, Meelatheru, Kurayur Village, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District by considering the representation dated 05.09.2017. In both petitions For Petitioners : Mr.D.Sasikumar For Respondents : Mr.M.Alagathevan, Special Government Pleader ****** COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed, seeking to direct the third respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 05.09.2017 to issue a patta in respect of Survey Nos.2/220 and 4/4.

2. Mr. M.Alagathevan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioners is that there is neither civil suit nor rival claim whatsoever pending in respect of the properties in question and as such, they have submitted a representation dated 05.09.2017 for issuance of Patta. Since the said representations have not been considered so far, the petitioners are before this Court with the above prayer.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking into account the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioners, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the third respondents to pass appropriate orders on the applications /representations of the petitioners dated 05.09.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners as well as other interested parties, if any.

5. With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
