O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal petition dated 07.09.2017.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. Mr.M.Alagathevan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2. Notice to the third respondent is dispensed with, as no adverse order is going to be passed against him.

4. The case of the petitioner is that the property in question is purchased by him and he had approached the second respondent for issuance of separate patta in his name and the same was rejected by the second respondent vide order dated 25.05.2017. Therefore, aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the first respondent for suitable action along with section 5 of the Limitation Act and it has been kept pending without any further progress. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court for early disposal of the appeal.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader for Respodnents 1 & 2 would submit that if reasonable time is granted to the first respondent, the appeal preferred by the petitioner will be considered and suitable orders passed.

6. In view of the above submission, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested parties, if any.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
