PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to forthwith provide adequate enhanced compensation for land acquisition for laid four way Track of Madurai to Rameshwaram (NH-49) in petitioner's own land in Survey No. 38/1A3B, to an extent of 0.07.10 Hectares in Thiruppachethi North Group, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District based on the petitioner's representation on 04.03.2023 and 05.06.2023, within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

ORDER
By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks payment of compensation for the acquisition of his land in S.No.38/1A3B.
2.The second respondent, Project Director, National Highways-49 has filed a counter. At paragraph No.8 thereof, it is stated that there is a dispute relating to title over the relevant property. In relation thereto, it is further stated that proceedings are pending before the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai in Review Petition No.40955 of 2022. Both learned Counsel for the second respondent and learned Additional Government Pleader submit that compensation would be paid to the persons entitled thereto based on the determination of land ownership in the said Review Petition. Learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the review petition would be disposed of within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
3.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai to dispose of Review Petition No.40955 of 2022 within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon disposal of the said petition, compensation shall be paid to the persons entitled to such compensation within two weeks from the date of disposal.
