ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry on petitioner complaint dated 25.04.2026 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that with respect to the defamatory actions and conversations made by the private parties, the petitioner has made a complaint to the second respondent. However, no action is taken, hence this writ petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate submitted that already a complaint has been received as against the petitioner from the private parties. In this regard, a first information report has also been registered as against the petitioner. Only thereafter, the petitioner is raising such an allegation that the private parties are spreading defamatory information about the petitioner.

4. Heard either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.

5. However, it is seen that the petitioner's complaint is kept in abeyance without action. In view of the same, the second respondent police is directed to put the petitioner as well as the private parties on notice under section 64 BNSS and give an opportunity of hearing to both the parties and dispose of the petitioner's complaint dated 25.04.2026 within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
