PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, to directing the 1st respondent to direct the 2nd and 3rd respondents to take necessary action based upon the representation given by the petitioner dated 17.04.2026 and to take all necessary and immediate steps to recover the stolen 10 sovereigns of gold chain the ATM card, and cash belonging to the petitioner. 1/4

ORDER

The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to initiate appropriate action based upon the complaint lodged by the petitioner on 17.04.2026.

2. A perusal of the representation dated 17.04.2026, reveals that the petitioner is the defacto complainant in crime No.806 of 2025, wherein it is alleged that the purse was stolen by unknown persons while she was travelling in the bus. According to her, so far the articles have not been recovered.

3. According to the learned Counsel for State of TN(crl.side) appearing for the respondents, they are taking several steps to identify the accused person and to recover the jewels and they will complete the same within a period of 2(two) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. In view of the above said facts, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to expedite the investigation and complete the same and file a final 2/4

report within a period of 2(two) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
