Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to issue patta in Survey No.4/4A1A at Melamadai Village, Madurai, based on the representation of the petitioner dated 17.11.2016 and pass orders.

O R D E R

The petitioners seek for a mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to issue patta in Survey No.4/4A1A, Melamadai Village, Madurai District, by considering their representation dated 17.11.2016.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered so far. 3.Needless to say that it is for the respondents to consider the request of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and therefore, this Court at this stage is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner. However, the 3rd respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 17.11.2016 on merits and in accordance with law also by hearing the rival parties if any. Such exercise shall be done by the 3rd respondent within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
