PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to close the accounts maintained with the 2nd respondent by the petitioner's father late R.Nanthagopal and disburse the amounts available in those accounts to his legal heirs as per the decree passed by the I Additional District Munsif, Tiruchirapalli in O.S.No.624 of 2007 dated 27.02.2009.

O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to close the accounts maintained with the 2nd respondent by the petitioner's father late R.Nanthagopal and disburse the amounts available in those accounts to his legal heirs as per the decree passed by the I Additional District Munsif, Tiruchirapalli in O.S.No.624 of 2007 dated 27.02.2009.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if his representation dated 25.11.2016 is directed to be considered within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

3.Considering the limited scope of the prayer now sought before this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction: "The second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.11.2016 and pass order on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

4.With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
