Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.

2.By consent of parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by her on 25.11.2013 against the order passed by the second respondent in respect of patta proceedings.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though such appeal was filed as early as on 25.11.2013, the first respondent has not disposed of the same so far. Therefore, without expressing any view on merits of the claim made by the petitioner in respect of such patta proceedings, I only direct the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the other affected party if any. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
