ORDER
The petitioner has gifted 75 cents of land for establishment of Samathuvapuram at Manalore Group Village, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District. The government has provided an alternate land of 75 cents, consisting of three portions in different survey numbers. The petitioner has filed this writ petition that the revenue records have been mutated in her name for two of the three properties and for the remaining property the revenue records have not been mutated. Though the petitioner has made representation to the Tahsildar, no orders have been passed so far. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
2.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation is being enquired into by 2/5
the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai and decision would be taken within a reasonable time.
3.This Court considered the rival submissions made.
4.The petitioner has gifted her 75 cent of land for establishment for Samathuvapuram in the year 2008 and as an alternate, she has been provided with three lands. The petitioner claims that the revenue records have not been mutated in respect of one land so far. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Revenue Officer, with whom now the petitioner's representation is pending, to conclude the enquiry and take necessary steps to transfer the patta for the remaining land also within a period eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
