The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondent/Sub Registrar, Alanganallur, Madurai District, to register a document, presented by the petitioner herein on 20.12.2019 as still pending.
2. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that on 28.12.2020 the respondent had issued a memo calling upon the petitioner to produce certain documents.
3. It is represented that the petitioner appeared and also produced the documents and also subsequently, gave a representation.
4. A direction is given to the respondent to take a decision either to register a document presented or not to register. If the 2/4
document is otherwise in order, he may register it. If he requires any clarification, then, if he finds that the document is could not be registered then a refusal check slip may be issued. This would enable the petitioner to take it up further in manner known to law.
5. Placing a direction to the respondent either to register or to issue a refusal check slip on or before 15.07.2023, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
