2. The writ petitioner's father was working in the second respondent Bank. He passed away while in service.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that as per the by-laws of the second respondent that there is provision for granting appointment on compassionate ground. The writ petitioner's father passed away on 16.05.2017. The application for grant of appointment on compassionate ground has been filed in well time i.e.,17.06.2017 itself. The first respondent is the authority to decide in this matter.

4. Therefore, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the writ petitioner's application dated 17.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
