Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent bank to grant to the petitioner the educational loan of 4 years total Rs.3,60,000/-(Three Lakshs Sixty Thousand Only) for enabling the petitioner to pursue and continue her higher educational studies in B.E., Electronics and Communication Engineering at Vetrivinayaga College of Engineering and Technology, Thottiyam, Trichy District.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking a direction to the respondent bank to grant educational loan to the petitioner enabling her to pursue and continue her higher educational studies in B.E., Electronics and Communication Engineering at Vetrivinayaga College of Engineering and Technology, Thottiyam, Trichy District.

2. Today the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner produced a copy of the order passed by the respondent bank, dated 15.07.2016, rejecting the petitioner's application for educational loan, stating that the applicant is not eligible for educational loan as per 'Vidhya Jothy Educational Loan Scheme'.

3. However, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent fairly submitted that the bank is ready to re-consider the application of the petitioner.

4. In view of the above submission, the respondent bank is directed to consider the loan application of the petitioner, dated 06.03.2015 and grant educational loan as requested by the petitioner, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
