PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose the petitioner's appeal dated 13.07.2017 and pass appropriate orders within the stipulated time, that may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, his parents had executed a Will in the year 1983, in his favour, in respect of the subject mentioned property, pursuant to which, he is enjoying possession over the same. Whereas, the authorities had issued a joint patta https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

in the name of his brother and sister, in respect of the property in question and aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has preferred an appeal dated 13.07.2017 before the first respondent and because of the inaction on the part of the authorities, he is before this Court, seeking a direction for early disposal of his appeal.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim, directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal of the petitioner dated 13.07.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all the other interested parties, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
