Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to grant the petitioners wages and disburse the petitioners wages as mentioned in the G.O.(Rt) No.257, Tamil Development, Culture and Religious Endowment Department, dated 10.6.1998.

For non-compliance of the order of this Court, dated 20.11.2019, made in W.P(MD)No.2644 of 2016 , this Contempt Petition is filed.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that as against the order of this Court, the State has preferred a Writ Appeal in W.A(MD)No.1140 of 2020 before the Division Bench of this Court. The Division Bench of this Court, while entertaining the said writ appeal, granted an order of stay, on 10.02.2021. 3.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Contempt Petition is closed.
