PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to forthwith prepare and publish the Reserve List, in strict compliance with the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016, for each communal category and subject, pursuant to the Provisional Selection List for the post of Post Graduate Assistant /Physical Director Grade-I/Computer Instructor Grade-I -2025 dated 22.01.2026 issued under Notification No.02/2025 dated 10.07.2025 and consequently, direct the respondents to operate such Reserve List to fill up the vacancies arising due to non-joining or subsequent vacancies, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking writ of mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to forthwith prepare and publish the Reserve List, in strict compliance with the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016, for each communal category and subject, pursuant to the Provisional Selection List for the post of Post Graduate Assistant /Physical Director GradeI/Computer Instructor Grade-I -2025 dated 22.01.2026 issued under Notification No.02/2025 dated 10.07.2025 and consequently, direct the respondents to operate such Reserve List to fill up the vacancies arising due to non-joining or subsequent vacancies, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.Amjadkhan, learned counsel appearing for the third respondent/Teachers Recruitment Board submitted that the respondents have already published the reserve list and therefore, the relief sought in the writ petition has become 3/5
infructuous. Mr.S.S.Thesigan, learned counsel for the petitioner also confirms the same.
3. In the light of the above, this Writ Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
