PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to expedite proceedings in Na.Ka.A3/1615/2017 dated 11.04.2017 pending on the file of the 1st respondent within stipulated time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. Mr.T.S.Mohamed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, the subject mentioned property belongs to her and neither civil suit nor rival claim, whatsoever, is pending in respect of the same and as such, she is enjoying the possession. For the said property, she was also issued with a Patta. Whereas, in the computerized revenue records, her name was not updated and in order to get her name updated in the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

computerized records, she has submitted a representation dated 10.04.2017, along with required documents, which was duly taken on file by the first respondent in Na.Ka.A3/1615/2017 dated 11.04.2017 and the same, according to the petitioner, is kept pending, without any action. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner is before this Court, seeking a direction for early disposal of the proceedings dated 11.04.2017, pending before the first respondent.

Considering the facts and circumstances and also the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim, directs the first respondent to dispose of the proceedings in Na.Ka.A3/1615/2017 dated 11.04.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all the other interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
