Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents i.e., the Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Chennai, the Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chennai and the District Collector, Madurai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 25.09.2017 regarding grant of exemption to the relevant rules of the Revenue Subordinate Service Rules for inclusion in the Deputy Tahsildars list of the year 2017, within a specified time frame that may fixed by this Court.

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 25.09.2017 made by the petitioner regarding grant of exemption to the relevant rules of the Revenue Subordinate Service Rules for inclusion in the Deputy Tahsildars list of the year 2017, within a specified time frame that may fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that though the petitioner has sought for a relief against all the respondents, the petitioner would be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the first respondent alone to consider the representation of the petitioner and has made an endorsement to that effect. 3.Having regard to the limited nature of relief sought in this Writ Petition, this Court, without expressing any view on the entitlement or correctness of the claim made, direct the first respondent shall dispassionately consider the representation dated 25.09.2017 made by the petitioner and pass reasoned orders on merits in accordance with law and communicate the same to the petitioner and file a report of such compliance before the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court on or before 28.02.2018.
