Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and necessary Police Protection to perform the cultural programme (i.e.,) Dance Programme on 10.02.2017 at 06.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. in the festival of Sri Nirathalamudaia Ayyanar Sonnaiya Thirukoil Pongal Pooja Thiruvizha at Pattarakara Theru, Manamadurai, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting programme of Adalpadal on 10.02.2017 in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 07.02.2017 the petitioner has given a representation, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Manamadurai Police Station is directed to look into the representation dated 07.02.2017 and dispose of the same immediately.
