O R D E R
The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct Aadal Padal Festival on 10.07.2016 at 7.00 p.m.in T.Arasapatti Village, Madurai District and give adequate police protection in connection with the festival of Arulmigu Sri Thandeeshwarar Rakkayee Ayyathal Thirukovil, T.Arasapatti Village, Madurai District.
2. Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the programme is being conducted by the villagers regularly in order to promote harmony during the above said festival period. That a representation was given to the respondents, but, however, the same was not considered by the respondents so far and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition. for the petitioner would further submit that as the aforesaid festival is celebrated in a peaceful manner by the villagers, there will be no untoward incident on account of this celebration.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that considering the law and problem prevalent in the area, earlier application was rejected and the petitioner made second representation and the same is under consideration. 6.Considering the arguments made on either side, the Second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.06.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and as per law immediately, as the function is stated to be scheduled on 10.07.2016, . With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. Sd/ Assistant Registrar(W) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar.
