2. By consent, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3. No counter is filed on behalf of the Respondents.
4. The real grievance of the Petitioner is that his appeal dated 28.09.2015 filed before the First Respondent is pending as as date without any progress or disposal. Also, it is represented that the said appeal has not been taken on file and assigned with any number by the First Respondent's office. Hence, the Petitioner has filed the present writ petition praying for passing of an order by this Court in directing the Respondents to furnish the information sought for by the Petitioner in his application dated 04.06.2015 under Right to Information Act, 2005, within the stipulated time to be determined by this Court.
5. Admittedly, the appeal filed by the Petitioner dated 28.09.2015, is pending before the First respondent/Tamil Nadu Information Commission, Chennai. Considering the relief sought for by the Petitioner before this Court that his appeal dated 28.09.2015 before the First Respondent may be taken up by the First Respondent, this Court, without traversing upon the merits and contents of the appeal dated 28.09.2015, filed by the Petitioner, at this stage, directs the First Respondent to assign the number to the appeal preferred by the petitioner and to take up the same and thereafter, to dispose of it in the manner known to Law and in accordance with Law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already disposed.
6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
