Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents I.e., the Secretary to Government, Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme Department, Chennai and the Commissioner of Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 03.03.2011.

ORDER

The petitioner was allowed to retire from service on reaching superannuation on 28.02.2015.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that he was not promoted as Child Development Project Officer, according to her seniority in the cadre of Grade-I Supervisor which is the feeder category. In the Grade-I Supervisor, in the year 1982, her seniority number was 373. But, one Valliammal and others who are all her juniors were promoted as the Child Development Project Officers as per G.O.(3D).No.03 Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme, Chennai, without considering the seniority in the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

feeder category. Therefore, the petitioner preferred an appeal to the Secretary to Government Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme (SW-1) Department, Chennai, on 03.03.2011, and same was forwarded by the District Project Officer, Tiruppur, to the then Director of Social Welfare, Chennai, dated 03.03.2011. Since the same has not been considered by the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.R.Anadharaj, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.

4. Considering the limited prayer made by the petitioner and as the representation is of the year 2011, the petitioner is directed to send one more representation along with a copy of the representation that has already been sent to the respondents, besides enclosing a copy of this order, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereupon, the respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the documents mentioned above.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
