ORDER

T.K.Jothilakshmi has filed this writ petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to promote her to the post of Instructor with effect from the date of promotion given to the candidates as per G.O.Ms.No.95, Higher Education (C1) Department, dated 26.03.2008, G.O.Ms.No.121, Higher Education (C1) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Department, dated 01.04.2011 and G.O.Ms.No.20, Higher Education Department, dated 01.02.2016 following the order of this Court in W.P.No.9905 of 2001 dated 10.07.2009 before considering any of the junior of the petitioner for the said post with all monetary and service benefits.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.Singaravelan, learned senior counsel appearing for the learned counsel on record for the petitioner has submitted that this writ petition may be disposed of by giving a direction to the respondents to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 29.06.2016 seeking promotion to the post of Instructor, in the light of G.O.Ms.No.20, Higher Education Department, dated 01.02.2016, within a time frame. 3.In view of the limited relief sought for, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.06.2016 seeking promotion to the post of Instructor and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law in the light of G.O.Ms.No.20, Higher Education Department, dated 01.02.2016, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. W.M.P(MD)No.8995 of 2016 is closed.
