Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to extend the lease period of collecting usage fee from the bathroom situated in the west of view tower point for the further period of three years commencing from 21.07.2016 by accepting 20% over and above the existing lease amount paid by the petitioner by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 25.06.2016.

ORDER

N.Thamarai Bharathy, who was given three years lease licence of collecting usage fee from the bathroom situated in the west of view tower point, has come to this Court for the further period of three years commencing from 21.07.2016. 2.

According to the petitioner, after participating in the tender conducted by the respondents, originally, the lease was granted on 08.02.2013. During the afore-said period, it is stated that the petitioner has put up additional constructions. Now, the lease period is going to an end on 20.07.2016. Stating these facts, the petitioner has sent a representation on 25.06.2016 for the relief stated supra. Since the said representation did not evoke any response, the petitioner is before this Court. 3.

Mr.Ayiram K.Selvakumar, on instruction, submitted that the representation has been considered and a Resolution has been passed on 20.06.2016. If further time is granted, an appropriate order will be passed.

Recording the said fact, this Writ Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent to pass appropriate orders on the Resolution, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such time, the respondent is directed to maintain status quo.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
