ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to pass orders on the appeal of the petitioner dated 10.03.2025 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is disposed at the stage of admission itself.

3. The petitioner was appointed as 'Assistant Surgeon' at Government Women and Children Hospital, Pallathur, Sivagangai District on 30.03.2015 and she has been rendering service to the utmost satisfaction to her higher officials. While this being so, she was issued with a charge memo dated 17.05.2023 by the third respondent on the allegation that the petitioner had entered into a second marriage with one Seemankafoor and subsequently, she was removed from service vide order of the second respondent dated 24.01.2025. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent. Till date, the appeal has not been disposed of. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. 2/4

Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 10.03.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to the petitioner, as well as any other persons, who may be necessary in the subject matter, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.

5. With the above observations and directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 06.06.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No sm 3/4
