ORDER

The revision petitioner, who is the wife of the respondent, filed a petition for divorce, before the Family Court, Madurai in IDOP.SR.No.1537 of 2019 and the same was returned for rectification of certain defects on 03.12.2019, i.e., for production of Marriage Certificate.

2. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the respondent / husband filed a petition for dissolution of marriage in IDOP.No.37 of 2018, before the District Court, Vellore. It is also relevant to note that IDOP.No.37 of 2018 has been transferred pursuant to the order passed in Tr.C.M.P.No. 153 of 2019, dated 05.04.2019, from Vellore to Madurai.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that due to Pendamic Covid situation, I.D.O.P.No. 37 of 2018 has not been re-numbered by the Family Court, Madurai. From the above it is clear that solemnization of marriage between the parties is true and that the petitioner is a resident of Madurai. C.R.P(MD).No.831 of 2020 the revision petitioner for divorce, returned the same on 03.12.2019 for production of proof of marriage and residence.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, a direction is given to the Family Court, Madurai, to number the IDOP SR.No.1537 of 2019, filed by the petitioner, if it is otherwise in order and proceed further.

5. With the above direction, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
