O R D E R

This writ petitioner has filed this Petition seeking orders for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take legal action by appointing a honest officer to enquire and pass orders on the representation given by the petitioner on 22.06.2022 to stop further illegal activities of the third respondent. 2.The case of the petitioner is that he was forcibly married by the third respondent on 17.09.2020 and after marriage, the third respondent and his family members harassed the petitioner by demanding additional dowry. Further, the case of the petitioner is that the third respondent by giving false promise to get acting job in cine field, committed physical relationship with so many girls and videographed the same and thereafter, using the said video had threatened many girls and also extorted money from them. When the same was questioned by her, the third respondent tortured the petitioner and also threatened her with deadly weapons.

3.On the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner, FIR came to be registered in Crime No.220 of 2022 for the offence under Sections 294(b), 323, 342, 427 and 506(2) IPC and Section 4 of TNPHW Act, 2002.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the third respondent was already released on bail and that the investigation is pending. In the meanwhile, the petitioner has preferred the present complaint alleging that the third respondent had cheated other girls and that she has preferred the complaint only to save the life of other girls. 5.But the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) would submit that except the present complaint of the petitioner, there was no other complaint against the third respondent.

6.Considering the above facts and circumstances, the second respondent is directed to proceed with the investigation and to file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
