ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 2 to conclude an enquiry and take appropriate action against the third respondent, based on the petitioner's complaint dated 16.04.2026.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a practicing lawyer before the Boothapandy Court, and the third respondent is the President of the Bar Association, who is alleged to have indulged in multiple financial irregularities concerning the Bar Fund. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 16.04.2026. However, no action has been taken thereon. Hence, this writ petition came to be filed.

3. However, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that CSR No.523 of 2024 had been registered on the petitioner's complaint and, after conducting an enquiry, the matter was closed.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record. Since no adverse order is proposed to be passed against the private respondent, notice to him is dispensed with. 2/4

5. From the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate, it is evident that CSR No.523 of 2024 pertains to a complaint lodged in the year 2024. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner has pointed out that a fresh complaint has been lodged on 16.04.2026. In view of the same, the second respondent police is directed to issue notices to both the petitioner and the third respondent under Section 64 BNSS, and to conclude the enquiry on the petitioner's complaint dated 16.04.2026, within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
