PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned detention order passed by the second respondent made in his proceedings in Detention Order No.53 of 2022, dated 13.6.2022 in detaining the detenue under Section 2(ggg) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 as a Sexual Offender and quash the same and to direct the respondents to produce the detenue namely, Mareeswaran, son of Madasamy Balamurugan, Male, aged about 22 years, who is now confined in Central Prison, Madurai, before this Court and set him at liberty. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, by producing a proceeding in G.O.Rt.No.4556, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 20.07.2022 submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2.Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
