By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the stage of admission itself.

2. Mr.T.S.Mohamed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for respondents 1 to 3. Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Counsel, takes notice for the fourth respondent.

3. According to the petitioner, he is an agriculturalist and used to cultivate Paddy as well as Sugarcane crops in his patta lands. It is his case that due to failure of monsoon, the petitioner suffered heavy loss. As the petitioner registered himself under the Bharath Pradhan Manthri Fasal Prima Yojana Scheme and has also paid the premium amounts, regularly, he has submitted a representation along with required certificates, before the authorities and because of their inaction, he, once again, has submitted a representation dated 12.05.2017. As the same is also kept pending, he is before this Court.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice, if the representation of the petitioner dated 12.05.2017 is disposed of, by the respondents, as per law, within a stipulated time limit.

5. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.05.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the other interested parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
