Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to remove the encroachments in South Street in Survey Nos.294/5 & 294/12 (old Survey Nos. 150/5 & 150/12) situated at Chathirapatti Village, Kanajampatti Panchayat, Vembakottai Union, Virudhunagar District and restore the same for public utility by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.04.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) The claim of the petitioner is that the respondents 6 and 7 have encroached upon the road and put up construction. 2.

Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Advocate took notice for the official respondents and took time to verify. 3.

Today, when the matter was called, Mr.Thilakkumar, has produced the letter by the Tahsildar, Vembakottai, dated 12.09.2024, wherein, it is clearly stated that the respondents 6 and 7 have not encroached upon any portion of the Government land. The construction that has been put up by the respondents 6 Page No.2 of 4

and 7 is well within their boundaries.
