By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the stage of admission itself.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.S.Mohamed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, the subject mentioned property belongs to his grandfather, which was partitioned to his father and uncle in the year 1960. Challenging the same, several petitions came to be filed and according to him, this Court, by order dated 11.03.2002, in S.A.No.1818 of 1990, had confirmed the said partition. Whereas, the patta still stands in the name of his grandfather and in order to mutate the same, in revenue records, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner has submitted a representation before the second respondent, which was subsequently forwarded to the third respondent on 15.05.2012, for necessary action, where, the same is kept pending, without any action. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner has submitted an application dated 19.05.2015, followed by a representation dated 25.09.2017 before the authorities. As the same are also kept pending, without any action, he is before this Court.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice, if the application of the petitioner dated 19.05.2015 is disposed of, by the third respondent, as per law, within a stipulated time limit.

5. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondents, more particularly, the third respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 19.05.2015 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the other interested parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
