O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to give permission to conduct cultural programme on 10.07.2016 at 7.00 pm to 12.00 pm subsequent to the festival of Sri Agni Kaliamman Sri Petchiamman Alayam in Panaveli Village Thiruvaiyaru Taluk Thanjavur District by considering the petitioner representation dated 30.06.2016.

2. Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the programme is being conducted by the villagers regularly in order to promote harmony during the above said festival period. That a representation was given to the respondents, but, however, the same was not considered by the respondents so far and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would further submit that as the aforesaid festival is celebrated in a peaceful manner by the villagers, there will be no untoward incident on account of this celebration. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that considering the law and problem prevalent

in the area, the permission for conducting the programme is under consideration.

6.Considering the arguments made on either side, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation to the respondent and the respondent is directed to consider the said representation and pass appropriate orders on merits and as per law immediately, as the function is stated to be scheduled on 10.07.2016 .
